
It all started in December when a London mom, Hattie Garlick found out that she’d lost her job at a newspaper. It just also happened to be the eve of her son Johnny’s birthday. Between losing her job and having here son influenced by all the holiday toy ads, she vowed to make a drastic change, spending nothing on her son in 2013.
