And the best Super Bowl commercial...

The Budweiser Clydesdale ad was the best of the best last night, according to the USA Today Ad Meter. The spot, about the bond between a trainer and his horse, barely beat out the commercial from Tide laundry detergent.

Speaking of...see that guy?

...that's Skyler Stone, and he used to be my INTERN in Kalamazoo! He packed up his bags and moved out to Los Angeles a decade ago and has appeared in a number of commercials, movies, reality shows, and is even a stand up comic. Great guy... crazy, but great guy. Way to go, Skyler!

Back to the commercials...I would give the blue ribbon to Chrysler for that two-minute spot about the American farmer featuring the voice of Paul Harvey. Chrysler tugged on the heart strings again with that touching salute to the military featuring the voice of Oprah Winfrey.

My vote for absolute WORST ad of the night goes to Go-Daddy who featured Sports Illustrated Swimsuit covergirl Bar Refaelli french kissing a chubby geek for 18 seconds (with enhanced audio to bring out the smacks and slurps). Thanks for that one while I'm sitting with my kids, Go Daddy.

The game featured:

-- 55 commercials
-- 40 advertisers
-- $4 million per 30 seconds
-- 111 million viewers

Two robins were lying on their backs, basking in the sun.

A mama cat and her kitten were walking by. The kitten complained, "Mamma, I'm soooo hungry. What can we eat?" To which the mamma cat, spying the two birds, replied, "How about some baskin' robbins?"
