USA Network’s Meghan Markle, star of the SUITS, will be in Greenville Friday to participate in storytelling program and school assembly during which students will share their personal experiences with discrimination and bigotry.
Markle’s visit to Berea High School is part of the Characters Unite Storytelling Tour: Stories of Prejudice and Power.
The tour includes a series of special events and educational workshops in communities and high schools across the country, as part of USA’s award-winning Characters Unite public service campaign to combat prejudice and discrimination. The tour has also stopped in Washington D.C., New Orleans, New York, Seattle, Chicago, Denver, St. Louis, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
The goal is to use the power of storytelling to foster greater tolerance and acceptance and encourage a more productive dialogue. The program is presented locally by Charter Communications.
