My mom sure could bake! But cook a meal? Sorry mom, but not so much. She would make salmon patties. I know a lot of people love them, but I almost never ate salmon because I thought that is what all salmon tasted like...you know...bits of cardboard, tarter sauce, and some sort of, I don't know, meat, I suppose...yech!

Baked macaroni and cheese, or as we here in the south like to say: Macaroni Pie. Yes ma'am! Could my mom make it? No way. My mother-in-law makes the very best, and I look forward to it every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter!
