We've all thought about it. Going on strike at home.
I have. Once, and this did not go over well with anyone, I made a list of what I did that day.
I made the list when the boys were babies so it was everything from 2am-fed Hayden, 6:30am-changed boys, fed boys. I went through the entire day of getting them to daycare, me to work, home, dinner, dishes, diapers again and again, etc...my list took up an entire legal pad page and then some. I also made a list for the hubby and Taylor (who was 11 or 12 at the time). Barely filled 5 or 6 lines on the paper.
In one way, we as parents do it to ourselves...I know I do. I like control in most things and I know if it gets done correctly (or at least the way I want it) then I have to do it, but at the same time, doing everything can be completely overwhelming.
